William Centurion

Born and bred in Sydney but of Uruguayan heritage, William started his training in Latin American folk dance from an early age – performing with folk groups from countries such as Bolivia, Colombia, Argentina and Uruguay. He then went on to train professionally in Sydney and Melbourne before going overseas where he has been living and working as a dancer /choreographer for the last 8 years. For the first couple of years William worked as a commercial dancer on TV, for artists such as NO ANGELS (Eurovision contestants), JULIETTE, HOWARD CARPENDALE and SASCHA, as well as working the club circuit in GERMANY and IBIZA as part of the COCA COLA CLUB TOUR. He then went into musical theatre where his credits now include European tours of; SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER, WE WILL ROCK YOU, AIDA, A TRIBUTE TO ANDREW LLOYD WEBBER, EVITA and two productions of the world premiere latin ballroom musical MIAMI NIGHTS. He has also choreographed various corporate events for companies such as BMW, JOOP, SMART, MERCEDES BENZ, KIA, GIVENCHY, MTV, OPEL, BASF, McDONALDS CHARITY and the CANNES FILM FESTIVAL. His versatility in dance has allowed him to create a new style – URBAN TANGO- A fusion between Argentine Tango, Latin and Street Jazz. It is a class that will keep both beginners and professionals on the edge of their feet. Men will learn how to lead, women will learn to move with style and everyone will have an over all understanding of partnering and lifts.
